Louth, I did a search of the 1901 Irish census, looking for individuals named Nicholas Brennan, who were 14 year old. Considering there were only two such Nicholas Brennans, it was easy selecting the Brennan family living in Donabate in the 1901 census. I am quite sure this is the Brennan family that I was searching for, as a Mary Brennan, daughter of a Mr. John Brennan, was living in the townland of Listulk, in 1914, when she married Patrick McCabe, a grandson of Henry and Rose (nee Byrne) McCabe, through Henry and Rose's son Pat McCabe, who married Mary Kelly. I have NOT found any info about the death of John Brennan. I have obtained a copy of the civil registration death register entry for a Margaret Brennan, the woman I believe was John's wife.
