The specific Catherine Duffy that I am referring to here was a 3x great-grandmother of my DNA cousins John Sorli and John's sister, whose maiden name was Marie Sorli. I am quite certain this Catherine Duffy was born somewhere in Co. Monaghan, Ireland, most likely in the 1790s timeframe.
