Joseph Higgins, son of Michael (Mickey Bawn) and Catherine (nee Duffy) Higgins, was born on March 10, 1876, in the townland of Tawnaghmore, Co. Sligo, Ireland. Notice that the townland name on the Joseph Higgins civil registration birth register record lists the townland of Joseph's birth as Tawnamore. I believe that is a misspelling of the townland Tawnaghmore, like I have it listed. Other children of Michael (Mickey Bawn) and Catherine (nee Duffy) Higgins are listed as being born in Tawnaghmore. Two of the townlands in County Sligo are Tawnaghmore and Tawnamore. Tawnaghmore is in the PLU of Boyle, where Michael (Mickey Bawn) and Catherine (nee Duffy) Higgins were known to have lived. Tawnamore is in the County Sligo PLU of Dromore West, a considerable distance from the PLU of Boyle. That is my justification for listing Joseph as being born in Tawnaghmore, rather than Tawnamore, as is shown on Joseph's civil registrion birth register record.
