Patrick Keenan, son of Hugh and Mary (nee Connor/O'Connor) Keenan, was born sometime around the mid-1850s, probably in Sreenty, Co. Monaghan, Ireland. I have NOT been able to obtain any documentation specific to Patrick's birth or baptism. The St. Joseph's Catholic Church on-line baptism records do not start until January of 1858, after the birth of Patrick, and the Irish civil registration records for Irish Catholics do not begin until the year 1864. Computing a birth year for Patrick from Irish census records, and his civil registration death register record, puts Patrick's birth year anywhere between 1853 and 1856.
