There was a couple named Thomas Kernan and Mary (nee Morris) Kernan, in the town of Bridgeton, in Cumberland County, New Jersey. Thomas and Mary had eight children. Thomas and Mary (nee Morris) Kernan's son, Thomas Kernan, had a daughter named Gertrude Kernan. Thomas and Mary (nee Morris) Kernan's granddaughter, Gertrude Kernan, married a man named John E. Cannan, the brother of William A. Cannan, the man that married my great aunt Margaret E. Geortler.
