Intro
A man named Thomas Kernan, and a woman whose maiden name was Mary Morris, are believed to have married in the mid 1850s, in Cumberland County, NJ, USA. Thomas and Mary (nee Morriss) Kernan are relevant to my family history effort as their granddaughter, Gertrude Kernan, married a man named John E. Cannan. John E. Cannan was a sibling of William A. Cannan, with William A. Cannan being the man that married my great aunt, Margaret E. Geortler, sister of my great-grandmother, Mary (nee Geortler) Jeker.
