Marriage
My great, great grandparents Peter Kernan and Catherine Trainor were married in St. Joseph's Catholic church, in the town of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, Ireland. The marriage took place November 27, 1860. I have obtained a copy of the St. Joseph's Catholic church marriage register record for Peter Kernan and Catherine Trainor's marriage. The St. Joseph's Catholic church marriage register record for my great, great grandparents Peter Kernan and Catherine Trainor also shows the names of Catherine Trainor's parents. For me these are, of course, another set of great, great, great grandparents. Their names were John Trainor and Marie Campbell.
Note, I try to consistently use the spelling T-r-a-i-n-o-r. As can be seen from the marriage record, the name was also spelt Trenor. I have also seen it spelt as Treanor and Traynor.
