Andrew McCabe and wives
Dunleer Area
Early 1800s
Intro
There was a couple named Andrew McCabe and Mary Byrne, living in the townland of Mullacurry, in Dromin parish, in Co. Louth, in the early 1800s. I have NOT been able to find a marriage record for Andrew and Mary. I would imagine they were married though. Whether they were married or not, they apparently had seven children together.
Offspring
Andrew and Mary (nee Byrne) McCabe had seven children I am aware of. I have listed the names of those children in the table below. To browse any of the additional info I have obtained and posted to the internet for any of Andrew and Mary (nee Byrne) McCabe's children, click on the links in the table.
Notes
Note 1: The baptism record for Andrew and Mary's daughter, Elizabeth McCabe, shows the address as Mullacapul. There is a townland, in the civil parish of Mosstown, called Mullacapple. Considering all of the other records for Andrew and Mary's children show Mullacurry as their address, I am sure the record showing Mullacapul is either an error, or Andrew and Mary may have been in Mullacapple for a brief period of time.
Note 2: The baptism record for Andrew and Mary's last child, Bernard, shows the mother's name as Bridget Byrne. I am sure that is just a flat out error. It may have been an error by whoever created the original record, or it may be a transcription error.

A McCabe Family Death
I have not been able to find a death record for Mary (nee Byrne) McCabe. I have assumed she did dies sometime between September of 1816, after the birth of her son Bernard, and November of 1819, when Andrew married a woman named Jane Mathews.
A Second Marriage
I have been able to obtain a transcribed copy of a marriage record for a marriage between a man named Andrew McCabe and a woman named Jane Mathews. To view a copy of the Andrew McCabe and Jane Mathews marriage record, click here. Notice the information written in the Notes section of Andrew and Jane's marriage record. The note confirms this is a second marriage.
The Andrew McCabe and Jane Mathews marriage record does not include a specific townland address. It does indicate the marriage took place in Dunleer parish.
Offspring
Andrew and Jane (nee Mathews) McCabe had four children that I am aware of. I have listed the names of those children in the table below. To browse any of the additional info I have obtained and posted to the internet for any of Andrew and Jane (nee Mathews) McCabe's children, click on the links in the table. Note the townland address for the first two of Andrew and Jane's children. The townland name is Mullacurry, the same townland name listed for six of Andrew and Mary (nee Byrne) McCabe's seven children.
