Marriage
James McCabe and Mary Landy were married on May 7, 1818, in St. Brigid's Catholic church, in Dunleer, Co. Louth. I have obtained a transcribed copy of the James McCabe and Mary Landy marriage record. The James McCabe and Mary Landy marriage record does not include any townland information. The record does include two witnesses to the marriage. The two witnesses are a John McCabe and a Luke McCabe. There was both a John McCabe and a Luke McCabe, living in the Mosstown parish townland of Cookspark, at the time of the James McCabe and Mary Landy marriage. That makes me wonder if the James McCabe that married Mary Landy was related to the John McCabe of Cookspark, or the Luke McCabe of Cookspark, or both.

Offspring
James and Mary (nee Landy) McCabe had three children that I am aware of. I have listed those children in the table below. To browse any of the additional info I have obtained and posted to the internet for any of James and Mary (nee Landy) McCabe's children, click on the links in the table.

Thomas McCabe Feb. 16, 1819 Dunleer Whiteriver Mosstown
Mary McCabe Feb. 17, 1821 Dunleer Polladuira (Duryhole) Mosstown
Patt McCabe May 25, 1823 Dunleer Polladuira (Duryhole) Mosstown

Note the townland name of Polladuira on the baptism records for children Mary and Patt. I have exchanged emails with both the Co. Louth Reference Library, and Mr. J. B. Hall, regarding the name Polladuira. Based on their input, and by looking up the name Duryhole in the Louth Place Names database, it seems clear to me Polladuria and Duryhole are the same place. That certainly puts James and Mary (nee Landy) McCabe in Mosstown parish, within Co. Louth.

The townland name for James and Mary's first child Thomas, Whiteriver, is a townland in Mosstown parish. I am familiar with that townland name. Two of my great uncles, and one of my great aunts, children of Peter McCabe and Bridget (nee Murphy) McCabe, were also born there.
