Birth/Baptism
Thomas Lawrence Morrissey, son of Thomas P. and Catherine (nee Martin) Morrissey, was born Dec. 28, 1891, in Philadelphia, PA. I have obtained, through my sister-in-law, Jan McCabe, a copy of Thomas Lawrence Morrissey's baptism record. Thomas' birth date is included on his baptism record. The copy of the baptism register record I have posted appears to have had a problem when it was copied from the original record. If you examine the copy I have posted, you should notice the right side of the father's name column, and the left side of the mother's name column, are not complete. This appears to be true for the entire length of the page. I do believe though the parents of "my" Morrissey entry were originally written as Thomas Morrissey and Cath. Martin.

I do NOT have an adequate explanation for why "my" Morrissey child was entered as Thomas Michael. I am quite certain though, the child in the Morrissey entry of this register went by the name of Thomas Lawrence Morrissey after he grew up.
