James Francis Morrissey, son of Michael and Mary (nee Hewitt) Morrissey, married a woman named Mary Dwyer, daughter of William and Hanora (nee Stritch) Dwyer, on March 24, 1893, in Philadelphia, PA. US Federal Census Records
I have obtained a copy of the U.S Federal Census record for James and Mary (nee Dwyer) Morrissey, for the year 1900. I have also obtained copies of U.S Federal Census records for James Morrissey and his family for the years beyond the death of James' first wife. The additional census records show James as a widower in 1910 and remarried in 1920 and 1930. The 1940 census shows James also out lived his second wife. The 1940 census lists James living in the same household as his daughter Alice, Alice's husband John J. Mary (nee Dwyer) Morrissey, wife of James F. Morrissey, died on February 4, 1909, in Philadelphia, PA. I have obtained, through my sister-in-law, Jan McCabe, a copy of Mary (nee Dwyer) Morrissey's death record, and a copy of the Mary (nee Dwyer) Morrissey newspaper death notice.
