Intro
There was an Irish couple named Patrick Swift and Anna (nee Carney) Swift. I really don't know where in Ireland they were from. What I do know about this couple is they appear to have had at least two daughters. Both daughters immigrated to the U.S. Both settled in Gloucseter County, New Jersey. The Patrick and Anna (nee Carney) Swift family is relevant to my family research effort as their daughter, Catherine (nee Swift) Cannan, was the mother-in-law of both my great-uncle Martin E. Geortler and my great-aunt, Margaret E. (nee Geortler) Cannan.
