Intro
There was a couple named Richard and Rose (nee McCabe) Whearty living in the townland of Galroostown, in Co. Louth, Ireland, in the late 1700s to around the mid 1800s. Richard and Rose are relevant to my McCabe family research effort as they have at least one descendant who is related, based on DNA testing at Ancestry.com, to two of my distant cousins, namely my 4th cousin Sheila (nee Moore) McCoy, and my 5th - 8th cousin, Ed Rodain.
