There was a Philip Brennan listed in Griffiths Valuation, living in the townland of Newtown Knockaleva, located in Mosstown civil parish. The Griffiths Valuation was done for Co. Louth around 1854 - 1855. I am not certain if the Newtown Knockaleva Philip Brennan is the Philip Brennan that married Marcella Flanagan, but unless proven otherwise, I will go on the assumption that he was. Regardless if I have identified the correct Philip Brennan, there was a Dunleer area of Co. Louth Philip Brennan who married a woman named Marcella Flanagan. Philip and Marcella (nee Flanagan) Brennan's birth information was calculated base on information provided by the Brennan grave inscription in Old Dromin Cemetery, Co. Louth, Ire.
