Peter Fanning, son of John and Margaret (nee McKenna) Fanning, was born January 15, 1882, in the townland of Lissaraw, in Co. Monaghan, Ireland. I have obtained a copy of Peter Fanning's civil registration birth register record. I have also obtained, through my sister-in-law, Jan McCabe, a transcribed copy of Peter's baptism record.
