A man named John Fanning, son of Patrick and Alice (nee Duffy) Fanning, and a woman named Margaret McKenna, were living in, or around, the townland of Lissaraw, in Co. Monaghan, Ireland, mostly in the mid 1800s to early 1900s. John and Margaret (nee McKenna) Fanning are relevant to my family research effort as their great, great granddaughter, Orla Brogan, has a DNA match to me, and to my distand cousin Marie "Michie" Michele McCabe-Velardi, according to Ancestry.com.
