I have a set of 3x great grandparents who have been traced back to the town of Unterhaid, located in the current German state of Bavaria. My ancestors were in Unterhaid before Bavaria had become a part of the modern country of Germany. My 3x great grandparents were a man named Friedrick Görtler, and his wife, whose maiden name was Maria Anna Folger, though Maria Anna is mostly referred to as just Anna.
Marriage
Friedrick Görtler, son of Nicholas and Cunegunda (nee Fössel) Görtler, and Maria Anna Folger, daughter of Sebastian and Anna Maria (nee Weiss) Folger, were married June 2, 1846 in St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, in the town of Oberhaid, in Bavaria.
