My ancestors were in Unterhaid before Bavaria had become a part of the modern country of Germany. My 3x great grandparents, were a man named Friedrick Görtler, and his wife, whose maiden name was Anna Folger. Friedrick and Anna (nee Folger) Görtler were known to have been living in Unterhaid as far back as at least 1847.
