John and Bridget named their first daughter Rose. Could it be that John and Bridget decided to name their first daughter after John McCabe's mother, Rose (nee Byrne) McCabe? John and Bridget also worked in the name Henry, when they named their second son, John Henry. Could it be that John and Bridget decided to include the name Henry after John McCabe's father, Henry McCabe? I think they could have. In fact, I have assumed John was the oldest son of Henry and Rose (nee Byrne) McCabe, based on the fact that John and Bridget did include the names Rose and Henry while naming their children.

Several of John and Bridget's children were living at home, with their parents, in Belpatrick, during the 1901 Irish Census. The two not listed, Rose and John Henry. I don't know what happened to son John Henry, but, as noted above, daughter Rose died in 1883, long before the 1901 census was taken.
