John McCabe, son of Pat and Mary (nee Kelly) McCabe, is a child for which both a civil registration birth register record and a transcribed Catholic Church baptism record have been obtained. There is an obvious conflict between the July 23, 1881 birth date on John's civil registration birth register record and the July 17, 1881 date listed for John's baptism. I would go with the date from the baptism record, plus or minus a day or two.
