Matthew McCabe, per census information, was born about 1841, in Illinois. During the 1850 U.S. Federal Census, Matthew's family was living in the town of Hartland, in McHenry County, Illinois. I don't know if the Patrick and Catherine (nee Conerty) McCabe family ever lived anywhere else in Illinois. I would assume that Hartland would be the town Matthew was born in.
