Intro
There was a couple named Patrick and Catherine (nee Conerty) McCabe, living in Fillmore County, in the Minnesota Territory, a possession of the U.S., prior to Minnesota being admitted as the 32nd U.S. state. The Fillmore County, MN Patrick and Catherine (nee Conerty) McCabe couple appear to have been related to another "early" Minnesota McCabe, namely a Mr. Owen McCabe. I don't know if Patrick McCabe and Catherine Conerty were married in the U.S, or in Ireland.

Various States
Patrick and Catherine (nee Conerty) McCabe lived in at least three different states that I am aware of. According to various census records, Patrick and Catherine (nee Conerty) McCabe were living in the state of New York, in the mid 1830s, when their oldest daughter Mary was born. Sometime after the birth of their daughter Mary, and before the birth of their daughter Catherine, Patrick and Catherine (nee Conerty) McCabe moved to the state of Illinois. Patrick and Catherine spent a lot of years living in the state of Illinois. All of their children, besides Mary, were born in Illinois. Then, after the birth of their last child, Patrick Henry McCabe, Patrick and Catherine moved to the territory of Minnesota.
