Intro
There was a couple named Patrick and Bridget (nee Connor) McNally, living around the Carrickmacross area of County Monaghan, in the mid to late 1800s. Patrick and Bridget (nee Connor) McNally are relevant to my family search efforts as one of their sons married a woman named Mary Kernan, daughter of my great, great grandparents, Peter and Catherine (nee Trainer/Traynor) Kernan. Note that the name McNally, like a lot of Irish names from back then, had multiple spellings. One that seems to have been used a lot is McEnally, which might even imply a whole different family name.
