Intro
A man named Patrick Keefe/O'Keefe, living in New York, USA, in the latter half of the 1800s, married a woman named Ellen Murphy, also living in N.Y., USA, on October 10, 1872. I have obtained, through my sister-in-law, Jan McCabe, a copy of the church marriage record for the Patrick Keefe/O'Keefe and Ellen Murphy marriage. It is very interesting to me to note that one of the witnesses to this marriage was a woman named Mary E. Vale. I have a great, great grandmother whose maiden name was Mary Vale. My Mary Vale married my great, great grandfather, Dennis Murphy. My Dennis Murphy and Mary Vale were married in Ireland, most likely in the area of Castletownroche, in County Cork, in the early 1850s. Having two Mary Vales may be totally coincidental. Then, perhaps, it is NOT so coincidental.

There are several descendants of Patrick and Ellen (nee Murphy) Keefe/O'Keefe that have a known DNA link to me. I am working on trying to document the exact links for these Keefe/O'Keefe/Murphy descendants.
