Mary Keefe/O'Keefe

old Margaret Keefe/O'Keefe

The Mary Keefe/O'Keefe that was living at 419 N. Front street during the 1860 Federal census for Philadelphia, PA was apparently a child of the couple I refer to as old David and old Margaret Keefe/O'Keefe. If correct, that would make Mary a great, great aunt of mine, assuming I am correct about old David and old Margaret being the parents of my great, great grandfather John O'Keefe. It appears that great, great aunt Mary most likely came to the United States some time in the early 1850s, settling in the city of Philadelphia, PA.

The exact birth date of Mary Keefe/O'Keefe is not known at this time. Federal census records for Philadelphia, PA, from 1860 - 1880, put Mary's birth date somewhere around 1841 - 1844. Even though these documents have varying dates for great, great aunt Mary's birth date, they all indicate she was born in Ireland.
