Intro
James and Margaret (nee xxx) Sullivan were a couple living in Philadelphia, PA, USA, in the mid to late 1800s. James and Margaret, and several of their children, apparently immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland. James and Margaret (nee) Sullivan are relevant to my family search efforts as their son Matthew married Mary Keefe/O'Keefe, a daughter of my 3x great grandparents, the couple I refer to as oldDavid and oldMargaret Keefe/O'Keefe.
Offspring
James and Margaret (nee xxx) Sullivan had seven children I am aware of. I have listed those children in the table below. To browse any of the additional info I have obtained and posted to the internet on any of those individual children, click on the links in the table.

U.S. Federal Census Records
I have obtained copies of various U.S Federal Census records for James and Margaret (nee xxx) Sullivan. You may access my James and Margaret (nee xxx) Sullivan and Related Families U.S. Federal Census Selector Page by clicking here.
1860
The 1860 census record for "my" James and Margaret Sullivan family includes 5 children. There were also two other teenage Sullivan boys listed on the same census page, but they were listed with the family that appeared just above the Sullivan family. I believe listing the two teenage Sullivan boys with the other family was a mistake. I think it is much more likely the two teenage Sullivan boys were actually additional children of James and Margaret Sullivan. I have included the two teenage Sullivan boys that were listed on the 1860 census form with the family above the Sullivan family in the above table. The table's birth info is based on the ages reported on the 1860 census record.
1870
The names and ages of the James and Margaret Sullivan children listed in the 1870 census I have obtained pretty well match with the children of the James and Margaret Sullivan listed in the 1860 census I referenced above, except the 1870 census has a daughter named Ellen, instead of a son named Adam. Also, the 1870 census does not include the two older boys, Matthew and Timothy, that I included in the table of James and Margaret's children from the 1860 census. I'm sure the reason was because by 1870 Matthew Sullivan had married my great, great aunt, Mary Keefe/O'Keefe. Matthew's brother, Timothy, was living with his brother and sister-in-law, not his mother and father. See 1870 Mathew & Timothy Sullivan.
