My great, great grandfather, Michael Morrissey, was married to my great, great grandmother, Mary Hewitt. There is a record for the marriage of a man listed as Michael Morisy marrying a woman listed as Mary Huet, in Saint Michael's Catholic Church, in the city of Limerick, in County Limerick, Ireland, on October 6, 1850. The marriage of Michael Morisy / Mary Huet was/is recorded on the National Library of Ireland microfilm number 02416/03, page 362. So, undoubtedly, a Michael Morisy married a Mary Huet, in Co. Limerick, Ireland, on Oct. 6, 1850. I am just not 100% certain that the Michael Morisy and Mary Huet couple that married in Co. Limerick is "my" Michael Morrissey and Mary Hewitt. The first known child of "my" Michael and Mary (nee Hewitt) Morrissey was their son John. I know John was born February 10, 1853, in Philadelphia, PA, USA. That is 28 months after the Michael Morisy / Mary Huet Limerick marriage. That long of a time between marriage and first child makes me wonder.
