Patrick Keefe/O'Keefe
Son of old David and
old Margaret Keefe/O'Keefe?

The Patrick O'Keefe that was living at 12 Packer Pl. during the 1860 Federal census for Philadelphia, PA was probably a child of the couple I refer to as old David and old Margaret Keefe/O'Keefe. If correct, that would make Patrick a great, great uncle of mine, assuming I am correct about old David and old Margaret being the parents of my great, great grandfather John O'Keefe. It appears that great, great uncle Patrick most likely came to the United States some time in the early 1850s, settling in the city of Philadelphia, PA.

The exact birth date of Patrick Keefe/O'Keefe is not known at this time. Federal census records for Philadelphia, PA, from 1860 - 1880, put Patrick's birth date somewhere around 1835 - 1840. The 1900 Federal census for Philadelphia, PA says he was born in April of 1842. His death record has his birth year listed as 1841. Even though these documents have varying dates for great, great uncle Patrick's birth date, they all indicate he was born in Ireland.

It was in Philadelphia, PA that Patrick married a woman named Anna Morrissey. I don't know if Anna was related to the Morrisseys on the McCabe side of my family.
