A Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at St. Benedict's Senior Community Chapel for Kathleen Marie Root, 88, of St. Cloud who passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011, at St. Benedict's Senior Community. The Rev. Meinrad Dindorf, OSB will officiate. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, New Richland.

Kathleen was born on Dec. 22, 1922, in Waseca County, Minn., to Stuart and Cecelia (Murphy) Root. She resided in Waseca most of her life.

Kathleen is survived by her sisters, Rose Crumb, Irene Jeddeloh, Genelle and Larry Doyle and Marlene and Richard Schroeder; brother, Michael and Susan; sister-in-law, Margery. Kathleen also had many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Joseph and James.

She was loved by family and many friends.

Memorials may be given to St. Benedict's Senior Community or the American Cancer Society.
