US Immigration
Nicholas lived in the Dunleer area of Co. Louth, with his parents and siblings, until approximately 1884, when he emigrated from Ireland to the United States. The 1900 US Federal census form says Nicholas McCabe arrived in the United States sometime during the year of 1884. He settled in the city of Philadelphia, PA. Whether he went directly to Philadelphia, PA from Ireland is not known.

Marriage
Nicholas McCabe, son of James and Bridget (nee Murphy) McCabe, married a woman named Jane McLoughlin.
